POLICIES AND PRIVACY​

At Roundabout Circus, we believe in being clear, fair and transparent. The information below outlines how our memberships, payments and privacy practices work so you always know where you stand.
Before you enrol, here are the key things to know:

Discovery Passes, Casual Classes and Punch Passes are non-refundable once commenced
By enrolling in a class, program or event, you agree to the policies below.

​​​​​​​​PROGRAMS AND FEES POLICY

Membership structure
Membership fees are calculated across approximately 40 teaching weeks per year and divided into 11 equal monthly payments (February to December). This spreads the cost evenly across the year, including school holiday periods.

Direct debit is processed on the first day of each month, or the next business day if it falls on a weekend or public holiday

Fees remain consistent during school holiday periods

Members may access unlimited make-up classes, subject to availability and accounts being up to date

Make-up tokens expire six months from issue

Membership inclusions may be updated from time to time.

Direct debit and processing fees
There is no set-up fee for direct debit.

Bank account payments – no processing fee

Visa or Mastercard – $0.33 plus 1.87%

AMEX – $0.33 plus 3.85%

Failed payment fee – $5.50 per rejected transaction
Processing fees are charged by the secure payment provider at the time of transaction and are not retained by Roundabout Circus.

Fees are applied through the payment portal and may not appear as separate line
Items on your customer account.
​
Bank account direct debit is available as a fee-free option.
Late payments and outstanding accounts

Accounts overdue by 14 days incur a $10 late fee per student, per month
-
Students with overdue balances may be suspended from classes, private lessons or performances until accounts are up to date
-
All outstanding balances must be cleared before cancellation
We reserve the right to refer unpaid accounts to a debt recovery process if necessary.

Pro-rata enrolments
If you join partway through a month:

The first month is paid in full at enrolment
-
A pro-rata adjustment is applied to the second monthly payment
Multi-class discounts
Discounts apply per individual student:
-
2nd class – 15% off
-
3rd class – 30% off
-
4th class and above – 45% off
-
Discounts apply to the lower-priced class

Family discounts
A 10% discount applies to the second family member enrolled in membership. The first family member pays full price.
​
Family discounts apply to immediate family members enrolled concurrently.
​
​Casual and Punch Passes
Casual and punch passes allow students to attend classes without committing to membership.

Private lessons
Private lessons must be booked and paid in advance. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may incur the full lesson fee. Private lessons are subject to coach availability and approval.
Discovery Pass
The Discovery Pass is designed as a short-term introduction to circus. It gives new students time to explore classes before committing to membership.

If we cancel a class, we will offer a make-up class or a suitable alternative where possible.​
CANCELLATION, WITHDRAWAL AND PAUSING POLICY
​
Minimum commitment
Membership requires a minimum enrolment period of three months. This includes at least one school holiday period and gives students time to build skills and settle into the program.

Cancellation requirements

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email

Cancellations cannot be backdated

Notice takes effect from the date received

All outstanding fees must be paid before cancellation is finalised
Membership pause
Membership may be paused:
-
For a maximum of two months per calendar year
-
With a minimum of fourteen days' written notice

Pause requests must be submitted in writing to admin@roundaboutcircus.com, and accounts must be up to date.
​
For short absences, make-up tokens are available and remain valid for up to 6 months, subject to availability.
Refunds and guarantee
We offer a 100% Smiles Guarantee. If, within fourteen days of your first class, you decide circus is not the right fit, we will refund the remaining portion of your first month’s membership fees and cancel your membership with no further commitment.

Refunds are not provided for:

Change of mind after the fourteen-day period

Missed classes

Partially used Discovery Passes

Casual classes or punch passes

Holiday programs
-
Showcase or costume fees
-
Private lessons cancelled without sufficient notice

Voluntary withdrawal outside the guarantee period

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AND SUPPORT
Circus Fund of Possibilities
We understand that circumstances change. Families experiencing financial hardship may apply for a partial subsidy through our Circus Fund of Possibilities. Applications are assessed confidentially and subject to available funding. To apply, access the form here.
NDIS participants
We support students who use NDIS funding. Invoices and supporting documentation can be provided on request. It is the responsibility of the participant or plan manager to ensure claims align with their plan.
Volunteer discounts
Approved volunteers who contribute regular time to support the studio may be eligible for discounted class fees at management's discretion.
HEALTH AND PARTICIPATION
Circus is physical and active, and with that comes some inherent risk.

Relevant medical conditions must be disclosed at enrolment

Coaches may modify activities to ensure safety

We reserve the right to refuse participation where safety is compromised
Assistance animals
Registered assistance animals are welcome at Roundabout Circus in accordance with Australian law. Please notify us in advance so we can ensure a safe and suitable environment for all participants.
