Smiles All Round in Canberra

Well, it's been a minute since our Performance Troupe took more than their juggling skills to the Canberra Circus Festival. But wow, did they learn, embracing what we represent at Roundabout—lots of curiosity, courage, and connection.

Our troupe’s cups are overflowing after a week of workshops, mentoring and coaching from circus artists all over Australia. We swapped tricks, shared laughs, tried new skills and soaked up ideas. For some of our troupe, it was their first time performing on a national stage, and they absolutely shone.

Roundabout Co-Founders Andy and Rachel were also part of the action, joining the teacher training program and coming home full of fresh ways to support our students and community.

“It’s always inspiring seeing our troupe come home with new ideas and skills and apply them to our shows,” says Rachel. “A huge thank-you to everyone who helped them get there. Through your support and all our fundraising activities, we raised over $4,000 to make the trip possible. You’re the reason our community keeps growing, learning and smiling.”

Watch the clip below to hear the troupe’s top three takeaways from Canberra, including what they learned, what they loved and what they’ll bring home to share.

This is what Stories of Circus looks like. Our students learning, growing and passing it on.

Nothing but smiles! Watch our team relive their Canberra adventure.
