When Amy started in the Cirque Possible class, she couldn’t kick up to a handstand yet. What she did have was quiet determination, perseverance and clear goals. Amy wanted to do a walkover.

With practice at home and support from her coaches, Amy’s confidence and strength continued to grow. In her own words, she knows that she takes a little longer to consistently achieve skills and this makes her more determined to practice every day. And practice she did. Her mum, Kim, said Amy would train for hours, doing drills and stretching in her room. This year, she performed in four showcase routines, including her own solo contortion act which was full of her favourite walkovers. Amy is now a regular in tumbling, aerial and contortion classes.
“Amy is the epitome of persistence. She works hard, supports others, and keeps pushing for the next goal. Watching her journey has been amazing.” — Rachel Peters
Amy's story embodies the heart of Roundabout’s manifesto. The courage to try, celebrating each step on your journey to success, and acknowledging that Life is better upside down.

Amy also recently wrote a blog for us to help keep her contortion class going after her friend and classmate moved back to UK. Check out her piece in our news posts
